Service Details

From Order to Completion of Paint Application at the Shipyard:

Marubeni will bear the cost difference (B) between the price of Low-friction paint and the price of Conventional paint (A), allowing users to utilize highest level Low-friction antifouling paint for the same price as Conventional paint.

After Paint Application Until the Next Dry-Docking:

If actual fuel reduction benefits are observed*1, a portion of the fuel savings (C) will be paid to Marubeni on a performance-based payment system every quarter.

→ This allows for cost savings such as underwater cleaning and hull cleaning at the next dry-docking, as well as a reduction in CO₂ emissions*2. If no fuel reduction is observed, no payment is required to Marubeni.

*1 Verification will be conducted based on actual voyage data and the results from analysis systems of each paint manufacturer. If the necessary voyage data is not submitted, a charge will be made according to the amount stipulated in the contract.

*2 Refers to the reduction in CO₂ emissions due to improved fuel efficiency.
